Spinal tumor specialist
Dr. Antonio Martin graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Valencia in 1982. In 1989 he obtained the degree of Doctor with Cum Laude at the same university. In 1991, he achieved the title of specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery.
In 1991, Dr. Martin started as Area Specialist Traumatology at the University Hospital of San Juan de Alicante, and the following year as District Specialist in Alzira Specialty Center. In 1994 he joined the Spine Unit at University Hospital of Valencia, a position he held until 2003.
Since 2003 Dr. Martin has been the Head of the Spine Unit at the University Hospital Dr. Peset in Valencia (Spain).
Dr. Martin is also an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Valencia since 1992.
He has over 40 publications in spine journals and national and international books, over 300 research papers and presentations at conferences, and he has taught more than 50 spine courses nationally and internationally.
Dr. Martin is a member of the following societies: Traumatology and Orthopedics Society of Valencia, , Association Europeenne des Groupes d’ etudes pour l’ Osteosynthèse Rachidienne (ARGOS), Sociedad Europea de Columna (EUROSPINE), European Spine Society (EuroSpine), Cervical Spine Research Society Eurpoean Section (CSRS), Global Spine Tumour Study Group, AOSpine Europe, AOSpine Europe, Spanish Society for the Spine Diseases Study (GEER), Association pour l’ etude des Affections du Ratchis, and International Group Cotrel-Dubousset .
Dr. Martin is part of the group of spine experts as orthopedic surgeon and spine specialist, specialized in spinal tumors and other pathologies of the thoracolumbar spine.
